Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty
Thomas Jefferson

Stamp paper racket kingpin X alias Y (names removed -- V.M.) was brought to Victoria Hospital, Bangalore, on December 22, 2003 for narco-analytical test and routine checkup amid high security. Narco-analysis involves injecting a person with a carefully regulated dose of anesthetic sodium pentothal, also known as truth serum. Under the influence of anesthetic, the person is lulled into a state of semi-stupor and, when questioned under this condition, usually reveals the truth.

LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;

EQUALITY of status and of opportunity;

and to promote among them all

FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the _2[unity and integrity of the Nation];

... "

This information is downloaded from the website of Ministry of Law and Justice (Legislative Department).

Which reminds me the methods used by other sovereign socialist secular democratic republics from a not so distant past.
